The Fairmount Bass Club is proud to announce that it will be offering a monthly bass tournament on Toledo Bend the 1st Saturday of each month. There will also be a club meeting with drawings, speakers, etc, that will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Family Life Center (6pm) behind the Fairmount Baptist church.
If you or your family are interested in learning more about fishing and want to participate in these tournaments contact one of the following individuals for more information:

My name is Jim Binns and I live on one of the most beautiful lakes in our state .. Toledo Bend.
Toledo Bend Reservoir is located on the Sabine River and shares its water with both Texas and Louisiana. The lake was constructed by the Sabine River Authority of Texas, and the Sabine River Authority of Louisiana, primarily for the purposes of water supply, hydroelectric power generation, and recreation. Toledo Bend is the largest man made body of water in the south and the fifth largest in surface acres in the United States. You can take a long boat ride on this lake because it extends for about 65 miles and has 1,200 miles of pristine and scenic shoreline.
When you come to Toledo Bend expect to have fun. Boating, swimming, camping, hunting, birding and camping are available along with some of the best fishing in the state. Toledo Bend offers a smorgasbord of fishing for species such as catfish, crappie, white and yellow bass, bream, striped bass and of course the always popular black bass. Better spool new line on your reels and sharpen those hooks because this lake has bass swimming in its waters that can pull the scales down past the 15-pound mark. Family outings can really be great fun when everyone is catching palm-size panfish and yellow bass. If you are new to the lake you can even book an excellent guided fishing trip through one of the local marinas.
This area is made up of rolling hills with an abundance of majestic pine trees that stretch up into the heavens. Residential homes range from weekend cottages to luxurious retirement estates that offer a calm and peaceful serenity from the fast-paced hustle and bustle of the metropolitan life. Peaceful coves and an abundance of plants and flowers offer a beauty that will take your breath away.
Are you tired of that harsh winter weather with all of its snow and ice? Well the Toledo Bend area offers a mild climate and on a number of occasions I have been fishing in a T-shirt and shorts during the month of January. My family and I visited Toledo Bend for a number of years and now my wife and I are retirees that enjoy the abundance the lake offers on a daily basis. Once you experience the beauty of Toledo Bend it’s hard not to return.
